Doing daily or routine walking in the area is very pleasant. No dogs to worry about as neighbors are considerate and the traffic is slowed as drivers give way to hikers. You'll meet others walking dogs on leases and just others doing their own thing. People have been very friendly with courteous hand waves and an occasional stop for a chitchat.
One last secret, this house is located thusly in a depression of land with trees giving the protection from severe cold winds.
